How Much Does A TWIC Cost? (2022)

If you are in need of a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC), there will be a cost involved, and the licensee usually bears the burden of this cost themselves.

So how much does a TWIC cost and how often will you need to pay for one?

Cost Of A New TWIC Enrollment

Today, in 2022, a new TWIC will cost you $125.25.

The card is valid for 5 years, which means the costs will be $25.05 per year.

The cost of the TWIC card will be reduced to $93 if you already have one of the following:

  • Hazardous Materials Endorsement (HME) card
  • Free and Secure Trade (FAST) card

This method will also extend the license to 5 years post the expiration of either your HME or FAST card.

Cost Of A TWIC Renewal

A TWIC renewal, assuming you are able to do the process online, will cost you $117.25.

A TWIC renewal is also good for 5 years, which means it will cost you $23.45 per year.

If you opt for an in-person renewal, as opposed to an online one, you will have to pay the full $125.25, which means you will forego the $8 discount given to people who use the web renewal process.

Cost Of A Replacement TWIC Card

If you happen to lose or destroy your TWIC card and your eligibly is still valid, you will be able to purchase a replacement. A new card will cost your $60.
